Thank you to everyone who made it to parent teacher conferences. The students led the conferences with pride and confidence. They enjoyed sharing their learning with their family. I am so proud of all of them!

Buddy Snack:
What is buddy snack? What have you done with your buddy during snack time?
Buddy snack is when the teacher randomly pairs up two people, and they have to sit together for snack. Some things I like to do in buddy snack are playing games, talking, and reading.

Buddy snack is where the teachers pick 2 people to go to a table.

Buddy snack is when we have a bucket with all of our names in it from our class, and Mrs.Burke picks two of them and she says, okay for snack it's these two students.

Buddy snack is a snack where you are paired with one or two people, and you can choose what to do when you eat your snack. Some things I have done with my buddy(ies) are play games, read, and talk.

Buddy snack is an assigned table snack where we have to sit with one other student chosen from a box of fair sticks. We chose this because of our actions, not like we said we wanted to sit with a randomly chosen student, it was that we wouldn’t stop screaming, talking over others, making inappropriate gestures, and talking about dating. So now, at buddy snack we have to sit and talk with only our partner.

Buddy snack is where the teachers pick fairness sticks in partners and then you sit with whoever they pick, your able to play board games, read, talk, etc.

Science: Space Systems: Stars and the Solar System
What did you learn about gravity from the two investigations you completed in science this week?
I learned that gravity pulls anything on the world to the center so we don’t fly off. I think the 2 investigations were very fun and I learned a lot.

Language Arts: Esperanza Rising
What has been happening in the book Esperanza Rising, and which human rights have been threatened so far in the story?
In Esperanza Rising we discovered that they were going to run away after telling Tio Luis she was going to marry him.

Pizzazz Field Trip:
What was your favorite act in the Pizzazz talent show? Why?
My favorite act was the Pirates of the Caribbean theme song they played with instruments because it was really cool and it sounded like we were actually watching Pirates of the Caribbean.

My favorite part of the field trip is everything, because they are so talented and great.

My favorite act in the Pizzazz talent show was the Incredible's song.

My favorite act in the Pizzazz talent show was all of the acts in the Pizzazz. The guitar player played a rock and roll song. There was a drum circle. There were a lot of wind instruments. There was a sad song sung by two girls.

My favorite act in the Pizzazz talent show was the violin act. It was my favorite act because it looked very hard to do.

My favorite act was the two girls in the stripes singing I thought it was good because their voices were beautiful and it sounded wonderful

My favorite act in the Pizzazz show was when Mr. Conerty's solo because at the end of it his face was so red the it can match a tomato because it was so red, and when they played the Incredible's and He's a Pirate because those are my favorite songs to play on the sax. In the Incredible's a baritone saxophone played a long solo and it was so cool.

My favorite part was the Incredible theme song, violin and Mr. Conerty’s solo because it was awesome.

My favorite part in the play was the Incredible's song when we already heard it in 5th grade band day when we went. And my other favorite part in the play was Mr. Conerty’s solo part with the trumpet. He must of been out of breath when he did it.

My favorite acts were Mr. Conerty's solo with the trumpet, the duet of the 2 girls, and the one with the red hat who sang (kill me slowly). I liked Mr. Conerty's solo because it was really cool and i have never heard something like that. I liked the duet because I love singing. I liked the girl in the red hat for the same reason I love singing and she had a beautiful voice.
